All students are invited to the online conference titled "IMU First Education Summit" on the 14th of May, 2022. The conference which aims to share our vision of modern teaching and to expand high-quality educational knowledge is also open to non-university participation.
The conference will start with an opening speech of our Dean of Educational Sciences Faculty Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akın titled "How Should a Teacher Be?", and will continue in two separate rooms with the speeches of our faculty members. In the first room, the conference will continue with the speeches of the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages Education Prof. Dr. Selami Aydın on "Why Should Teachers Be Researchers?", Assoc. Prof. Özcan Erkan Akgün on "The Future of Learning Environments: Trends, Prospects, Facts”, and Asst. Prof. Emine Ayyıldız on “Multi-Disabled Young Children and Early Intervention”. In the second room, the speeches of the Head of Mathematics and Science Education Department Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Kılıç on “Can One Love Math?”, Assoc. Prof. İbrahim Hakan Karataş on "School Management Supporting the Teacher", Director of the School of Foreign Languages Asst. Prof. Ferdane Denkci Akkaş on “Reflective Teaching in Post-Method Era”, and Dr. Numan Turan on “Exploration-Oriented Classroom Environment” will take place. Our students Şulenur Ünlü, Burkay Soylu, and Halise Öztürk will moderate the conference, which is organized by our senior Foreign Languages Education Department student Şulenur Ünlü under the mentorship of Dr. Derya Oruç.
